Upcycled Piano Drying Rack

This summer I got to help my dad and brothers part out an old piano that was headed to the junk pile. My share of the loot was this piece- the pinblock. It works perfectly as a drying rack.

After getting it out of the piano, I painted it with a combination stain/varnish that we had in the shop. It was hard to paint around all those little metal pieces though!

All summer I used it for drying herbs and other things, like the hot peppers in the picture.
