Reader, I Married Him

Yay! Nearly a month after the wedding and here I am writing again. I suppose time flies by when you're having fun, and fun I have been having! After the wedding we shipped off to Barbados for a luxurious week at a fancy resort with multiple forks at dinner and waitstaff  that unfolds the napkin in your lap. We also toured a rum factory, which I thought was fascinating. Jack Sparrow's favorite drink is actually fermented molasses. Yum, right?

Then we came back, fixed up our little apartment and moved alllllll of my stuff in. It's funny, you never know how much stuff you have until you try to move it. But after about two weeks of moving and rearranging and piling up "Goodwill" stuff, it's all moved in and I'm ready to start up blogging again.

The apartment has a gas stove, which I'm not really accustomed to.

My first pancakes over a gas stove.

But I'm getting better with the LP. I love having my own kitchen! I got a few new kitchen gadgets as wedding gifts that I intend to review here. Now that I get to cook full time for my husband, I'm working out a little weekly routine that I also intend on sharing here for the benefit of any and all readers.

Happy Tuesday!!

  2. Oh I LOVE gas stoves. After you get the hang of it you will not want to go back to electric again. :)

    1. Still waiting to 'get the hang of it'... made some jelly and it overflowed! Now I've got to figure out how to clean the darn thing. Meh.

    2. You could always ask Joe's mom to help you clean it. She did a great job last time : ) . Love Mom
